Tonight we stopped at Gabby's Bistro in Northern Dumaguete. Located within Florentina Hotel. Gabby is a young Filipino chef whose menu is well thought out and implemented. We tried his Gabby burger which was what looked like the basic burger. 200 grams of  ground beef that tasted fresh and un-spiced with a slight hint of grilling.  Served with homemade chips the burger came with red leaf lettuce, tomato, cucumber slice and two onion rings. Priced at p175. The onion rings gave it a crispy texture that was different.  Overall we give the Gabby Bistro's burger 3 Buns. It was a good burger, but not a champion burger. But then, neither did it advertise itself as one. We will go back again and try his Bacon burger. My wife is already planning on the onion rings burger again. She loves the crunch they give.   All in all, a good burger and much, much better then Jolly Bee.

Review scored it at 3 1/2 Buns  out of 5 Buns.

  1. How about you use buns instead of stars. 3 buns for Gabbys Bistro instead of 3 stars

  3. a plus for me is that it seems to be a hand pressed burger, not a preformed/machine pressed one

    1. Yes, for me too. While I don't think that I will find a suitable, (eatable) processed burger. We included them in the reviews to establish a base line. Check out the latest review of Bogarts (http://roncoselman.blogspot.com/2014/06/by-ron-coselman-visited-bogarts-on.html)......
